Smoky Mango Mezcal Daiquiri with Worm Salt
From Oaxaca to your glass — a Don Catrin recipe.
Story
Mango is lush and golden; mezcal brings smoke and depth. Together they create a daiquiri with a darker glow.
Worm salt keeps the sweetness in check and adds a savory finish.
This is tropical, but never too sweet — a balanced, smoky classic.
Yield: 1 cocktail | Time: 10 minutes
Ingredients
- 2 oz mezcal
- 1 oz mango puree
- 3/4 oz fresh lime juice
- 1/2 oz agave nectar
- Worm salt (for rim)
- Ice
Method
- Rim a coupe or rocks glass with worm salt.
- Shake mezcal, mango, lime, and agave with ice.
- Strain into the prepared glass.
To Serve
Garnish with a thin mango slice.
Notes & Variations
- Add a dash of chile for a spicy edge.
Ritual
Let the smoke linger before the next sip. The salt keeps it grounded.
